As Muslims commemorate Eid al-Adha, we are reminded of the profound significance of this occasion. The story of Prophet Ibrahim AS and his son Ismail AS serves as a timeless narrative of obedience and sacrifice, as beautifully articulated in the Quranic verse from Surah As-Saffat, 102:

“Then when the boy reached the age to work with him, Abraham said, “O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I “must” sacrifice you. So tell me what you think.” He replied, “O my dear father! Do as you are commanded. Allah willing, you will find me steadfast.”

This story underscores the unwavering faith, obedience, and submission to Allah's will, setting an enduring example for all believers. Eid al-Adha invites us to reflect on the essence of devotion and the willingness to make sacrifices in obedience to Allah’s command.

At ICM, the observance of Eid al-Adha holds special significance, especially for our middle and high school students who spend this day within our community. The day unfolds with Eid prayers, Qurban, and engaging activities that bring our students together before the commencement of the school year holidays.

We are incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to extend our acts of worship and generosity through ICMAmanah initiative. This year, with immense gratitude to Allah swt, we sacrificed 71 sheep, 1 buffalo, and 12 cows. The Qurban meat was subsequently distributed in 2.019 Qurban meat packages, reaching those in need within our community.

This collective endeavour instils profound meanings and insights into Eid al-Adha in our students. This impactful experience will resonate with them and shape their values and practices in the future.

As we embrace the spirit of sacrifice and unity during Eid al-Adha, let us pray for the abundant blessings of Allah SWT upon both the givers and recipients of these sacrifices. May this noble act of giving be a source of enduring blessings and compassion, enriching the lives of those in our community and beyond.
