To explore the potential in the field of science and foster a spirit of collaboration, the Junior High School Program for the Madani Scholar School (SMP ICM) is proud to delegate students and teacher representatives to participate in the 13th ASEAN+3 Science Gifted Student Camp and the 15th ASEAN+3 Teacher Workshop.

The 13th ASEAN+3 Science Gifted Student Camp is a competition for talented students in science and technology in the ASEAN region. It will be held in Seoul and Gyeonggi, South Korea, from 17 to 23 December 2023.

Attended by more than 100 students from various ASEAN countries, this activity brought together talented students from ICM and the ASEAN+3 region to encourage collaboration and scientific exploration. ICM students gain exposure and experience regarding the latest advances in science and technology through engaging discussions, workshops, and seminars.

The delegation from ICM Middle School succeeded in bringing success to this international-scale event.

From the 9th grade students, there was Fathiya Nuril Arifiandra, who succeeded in showing her prowess as a Selected Participant and contributed with other brightest young thinkers from the ASEAN+3 region. In class 8, Zhafira Maiza won the Exemplary Pre-Camp Activities Award for her dedication and proactive involvement during preparation. Still from grade 8, Firdaus Haryo Baskoro is also part of the Selected Participants and has the opportunity to gain deeper insight into the sustainable future.

In this activity, students and teachers carried out a series of activities, from interesting discussions to live workshops, seminars, site visits, and closed by attending an amazing cultural festival. But of course, this trip is not just about attending each session but also broadening your knowledge in the field of science, instilling a global perspective in overcoming challenges for a sustainable future with participants from various other ASEAN+3 countries.

By participating in this program, our students can develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, aligning with ICM's commitment to cultivating well-rounded individuals. These activities provide valuable opportunities for our students to become future leaders in the scientific community and contribute to positive change on a global scale.
