Ronald, a grade X student at Sekolah Insan Cendekia Madani, won a gold medal in the 2024 International Mathematics Exam Center (IMEC) competition.
The Education and Culture Attaché (Atdikbud) of the Indonesian Embassy in Canberra, Mukhamad Najib, assessed that Indonesia could be proud of this achievement. He believes that students who participate in activities at international events will gain valuable experience, one of which is increased self-confidence.
"This proves that Indonesian students have abilities that are no less than students in developed countries such as Australia and England," said Najib, quoted from the official website of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Monday (22/4/2024). "This victory can certainly be an asset to appear more confident as an advanced future Indonesian child," he continued.
In line with Najib, Abdul Nazar, the Indonesian Consulate General in Sydney's Social and Cultural Affairs Function Coordinator, also expressed his appreciation for the Indonesian contingent's achievements in mathematics and English competitions. Nazar hopes that in the future, more Indonesian students will be able to achieve international achievements.
"This kind of competition can be an opportunity to build networks and cooperation between schools in Indonesia, Australia and other countries," said Nazar.
