At ICM, the significance of Islamic education is held in equal regard to academic and non-academic pursuits. This commitment is further fortified as our Middle and High School Programs embrace a boarding format, providing students with a platform to immerse themselves in Islamic practices and expand their knowledge of Islam. Many obligatory and recommended activities rooted in Islamic teachings and traditions have become a shared routine within the school community.
Islamic
Central to the ethos of ICM is the Madani curriculum, which serves as the cornerstone of Islamic education, spanning all educational programs, encompassing PAI (Pendidikan Agama Islam), Quranic studies, and Arabic language instruction tailored to each academic level.
In the Early Childhood Program, Islamic values are instilled by introducing age-appropriate adab (moral conduct) based on the teachings of the Al-Qur'an and Hadith, fostering an environment where students are encouraged to embrace and embody these values in their daily interactions. As students progress to the Primary School Program, the Islamic curriculum takes shape through structured Islamic subjects, a spectrum of events (such as Manasik Haji and Ramadhan celebrations), and engaging school activities. In alignment with ICM's holistic approach to education, the Middle and High School Programs further enrich the Islamic curriculum by incorporating a blend of Islamic subjects, events, school activities, and a comprehensive boarding agenda.
Quranic
A pivotal component of the school's educational framework is the daily Quranic program, integral to all Sekolah Insan Cendekia Madani programs. The primary aim of this initiative is to nurture students' connection with the Quran while fostering a genuine love for its teachings.
Quranic learning at ICM is tailored to cater to the unique needs of each educational level. The Early Childhood Programs emphasize cultivating a Quranic-loving persona through daily recitations and interactive discussions focused on enhancing comprehension of the Quranic verses in a thematic and age-appropriate manner. In the Primary School Program, various Quranic activities are implemented, including group recitations, daily murajaah sessions, targeted Quranic reviews, and initiatives to elevate students' proficiency levels. As students transition into the Middle and High School Programs, a diverse range of Quranic-related activities such as structured routines, overseas programs, and khidmah (service initiatives) are integrated into the curriculum to deepen their engagement with the Quranic teachings.
Arabic
ICM strongly emphasizes Arabic language instruction, introducing students to this essential language from the Early Childhood Program to the High School Program (Upper Secondary) through various immersive approaches, including Arabic lesson subjects, Dirosat Islamiyah, and overseas trips.
Sekolah Insan Cendekia Madani also cooperates with the EWAN -an institute in Jordan that teaches Arabic to non-native speakers worldwide through scientific approaches with more than 20 years of experience- as a strategic partner.
These 3 main factors then complement the Islamic curriculum of Sekolah Insan Cendekia Madani, which prepares leaders who possess Islamic character and participate in manifesting civil society.
