Nabila Putri Shariva, affectionately known as Bella, is a proud alumni of ICM High School Batch 7, Saptadaskara. After graduating from ICM, Bella pursued her studies at IPB University, majoring in veterinary medicine. Currently, she is continuing her clinical internship (co-assistant) as part of her journey to becoming a veterinarian, also in IPB University. Bella’s passion, however, extends beyond academics. From a young age, she aspired to become an equestrian athlete, a dream she has actively pursued through dedication and perseverance.

Bella’s persistence in learning to ride has not only honed her skills as an equestrian but also allowed her to share her knowledge with others. She now has several riding students under her guidance. According to Bella, the key to being a good equestrian athlete lies in building a strong connection and bond with the horse. She emphasizes the importance of spending time outside of riding to develop trust and mutual understanding with the horse, which she considers the foundation of successful equestrianism.

Reflecting on her time at ICM, Bella credits the institution for providing her with valuable experiences and lessons that have shaped her into the person she is today. One of the most impactful skills she gained at ICM was time management. With ICM’s packed schedule of activities, Bella became accustomed to balancing various commitments, a skill that has proven invaluable in managing her busy university and equestrian life.

Public speaking is another area where Bella feels ICM played a crucial role in her personal development. Frequent opportunities to speak and present during her time at school sharpened her communication skills, giving her confidence in academic, professional, and social settings. Bella believes that these skills, combined with the discipline instilled at ICM, have been instrumental in helping her navigate her path toward veterinary medicine and her dream of excelling in the equestrian world.

Bella’s journey serves as an inspiring example of how passion, perseverance, and a strong educational foundation can lead to success.
