On Friday, September 5, Insan Cendekia Madani Middle and High School students gathered with joy and excitement to commemorate the Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW under the theme “The Beauty of the Prophet’s Smile.” From the early morning, students were already seated in neat rows in front of Masjid Nurul Izzah, eager to take part in this meaningful event that combined spirituality, knowledge, and celebration.
The day began with the Musabaqah Hifdzil Qur’an Rangking 1 competition, a test of memorization and understanding of the Qur’an. From among hundreds of participants, only five outstanding akhwat students remained as the winners, proving the strength and beauty of their memorization. Their achievement not only demonstrated personal dedication but also inspired their peers to deepen their connection with the Qur’an.
Following the competition, the main Maulid event commenced with heartfelt du’a and a recitation of the Qur’an, setting a serene and spiritual tone. The rhythm of the marawis then filled the air, adding both joy and beauty to the gathering. This performance enhanced the atmosphere, reminding everyone of the cultural richness that accompanies the remembrance of the Prophet.
The highlight of the day was a captivating sharing session by Ustaz Syamsuddin Nur Makka, who shared inspiring stories about the noble life of Prophet Muhammad SAW. His words painted a picture of the Prophet’s compassion, humility, and radiant smile, values that continue to guide the lives of Muslims. Ustaz Syamsuddin also invited several students to the stage to test their Qur’an memorization, making the session interactive and engaging.
The event concluded with a photo session that captured the spirit of togetherness among students, teachers, and the speaker. Through this commemoration, ICM students not only strengthened their love for the Prophet but also found motivation to emulate his exemplary character in their daily lives. May this blessed occasion bring guidance, light, and endless inspiration for our students as they continue to grow in faith and character.
