At Sekolah Insan Cendekia Madani, Quranic learning is an integral part of the daily curriculum across all school programs. This program aims to bring students closer to the Al-Qur’an and instil a love for reading and understanding it.

To cater to the needs of each program, Quranic learning has been adapted, and one of the initiatives is the implementation of the Al-Qur’an quarantine for students. 

This quarantine takes place regularly every semester. During it, students focus on improving their reading skills or memorisation, depending on their respective levels and abilities, guided by dedicated teachers. Each session sets specific targets for the students to achieve.

This activity was designed to support the fulfilment of one of the graduation requirements at ICM. For the Primary School Program, the target is for every graduate to have memorised at least one Juz of the Al-Qur’an and reach an acceptable reading proficiency standard. Meanwhile, the school sets a higher bar for the Middle and High School Programs, expecting every graduate to have memorised at least two Juz for regular students. Additionally, for the talented students who participate in the Takhossus Program, the number of memorised Juz increases even further upon graduation.

WAFA method is the primary methodology employed by ICM in teaching the Al-Qur’an. This unique approach focuses on engaging the right brain in the learning process. An added advantage for the students is the use of their mother tongue, Indonesian, to convey the concepts, ensuring a familiar and easily graspable approach.

The Al-Qur’an quarantine and the use of the WAFA method combine efforts to provide a comprehensive and effective Quranic learning experience for the students at ICM. By nurturing their connection with the Al-Qur’an and promoting memorization and reading skills, this program contributes to students' holistic development.
