At ICM, Ramadan is more than a time of fastingit, is a month of spiritual renewal, meaningful connection, and heartfelt service. We welcomed this blessed month through Tarhib Ramadan, with special activities across all levels that prepared our hearts to embrace its blessings. From our youngest learners to our high school students, each group experienced Ramadan in a way that nurtured faith, character, and community.
Our Early Childhood Program began their journey with a lantern-making activity in the afternoon, allowing the children to craft and decorate their own beautiful Ramadan lanterns. This was followed by a joyful parade to Nurul Izzah Mosque, waving their lanterns proudly. The day concluded with a touching simulation of breaking fast and performing salat Maghrib in congregation, offering a meaningful introduction to Ramadan traditions in a way that was both joyful and memorable.
Primary School students deepened their experience through Mabit, where they shared sahur in the early morning hours, prayed tarawih in congregation, and enjoyed an inspiring session of Islamic storytelling the following day. The overnight program fostered spiritual growth, togetherness, and a deeper appreciation for the special moments Ramadan brings.
Our Middle and High School students began the month with a motivating session led by Ustaz Nur Adyan Ahmad, S.Pd.I., who shared valuable insights on how to seek Allah’s blessings throughout Ramadan. The journey continued with Karantina Tahsin dan Tahfidz, where students dedicated themselves to refining their Quranic recitation and strengthening their memorization. Through the Khidmah Ramadan initiative, students extended their compassion by supporting Al-Quran Learning Centers or Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran children, helping guide their understanding of the Quran.
Ramadan at ICM reached a heartfelt highlight with a Buka Puasa Bersama for 500 children in need, an inspiring evening that reflected the true spirit of compassion, generosity, and togetherness.
As we reflect on the experiences of this holy month, we are reminded that Ramadan is not only a time for personal growth but also a call to give, to connect, and to live with compassion. May the spirit of Ramadan continue to shine within us, guiding our hearts and actions throughout the year, Insyaa Allah.
