KOMPAS.com - Sekolah Insan Cendekia Madani (ICM) opened the new academic year with an Introduction to the School Environment (MPLS) and introduced ICM's Madani Curriculum, which is aimed at strengthening the character education of students (27-28/7/2023).

During MPLS, ICM collaborates with the TNI Kodiklat and will be implemented at the TNI Kodiklat Headquarters to strengthen the spirit of leadership with the Basic Leadership Training method.

Students will receive quality academic and Islamic education and the opportunity to develop leadership and make positive contributions to society.

Academic Director Dani Mohammad Ramdani said that ICM designed the activities with national and international exposure to provide opportunities for students during the boarding period to explore various kinds of experiences.

"So it can be a way to improve children's abilities and potential, which is still accompanied by strong Islamic values. With the hope that in the future children will become talented individuals, with high Islamic leadership abilities as well," he explained.

Dani Mohammad Ramdani explained that the Madani Curriculum will strengthen character and leadership education programs so that ICM students are successful academically and have good moral qualities.

He explained that ICM's Madani Curriculum is a method formed comprehensively by collaborating between the National Curriculum, the Cambridge Curriculum, and the Islamic Curriculum, which was strengthened by the Ewan Institute from Jordan, Jordan.

Combining these three curricula will help improve students' abilities not only from an academic perspective but also from a non-academic perspective.

"So that every activity carried out by students during the boarding period will make it easier for them to learn and implement the values of leadership, integrity, responsibility, honesty, cooperation and empathy," he said.

This will also help students develop a personality balanced with Islamic values.

He continued that the Madani curriculum at ICM involves collaboration between teachers, school staff, and education experts to ensure consistency and integration of character and Islamic values with other subjects.

"ICM continues to evaluate and improve the curriculum to remain relevant to student needs and current developments. Thus, ICM as a holistic Boarding School can provide integral character education for students," he added.

"Through the Madani Curriculum, ICM is committed to providing guaranteed education to the Indonesian people in general, and also the people of South Tangerang in particular," concluded Dani Mohammad Ramdani.

This year's ICM MPLS activities were also attended by Muhammad Ari Ramadhan (Main Director), Bambang Eko Nugroho (Training & Development Director), Mohamad Husni (Parenting Director), Ainun Khaerani (Finance Director), and also the Chair of ICM High School Student Council, Tan Nisa Ramadaniya.
