ICM Directs Curriculum to Strengthen Students' Character
28 July 2023

South Tangerang (ANTARA) - Opening the 2024/2025 academic year with the Introduction to the School Environment (MPLS), students at Sekolah Insan Cendekia Madani (ICM) in Serpong, South Tangerang introduce Madani Curriculum, which aims to strengthen the character education of students.

ICM is running under Yayasan Edukasi Sejahtera (YES), with the Board of Trustees Tamsil Linrung and Irwardi Anwar, and Muhammad Ardifa Rizki as Chairman of the Foundation Management.

YES is committed to strengthening the character education of its students to create holistic Boarding School education services for the community by implementing Madani Curriculum.

This curriculum will strengthen the character and leadership education program at ICM so that ICM students are successful academically and have good moral qualities.

ICM's Madani Curriculum is a method created comprehensively by collaborating between the National Curriculum, the Cambridge Curriculum, and the Islamic Curriculum, which was strengthened by the Ewan Institute from Jordan (Jordan).

Combining these three curricula will help improve students' abilities not only from an academic perspective but also from a non-academic perspective. Moreover, the activities carried out by students during the boarding period will make it easier for them to learn and implement the values of leadership, integrity, responsibility, honesty, cooperation, and empathy, as well as helping students develop personalities that are balanced with Islamic values.

This event was attended by ICM Board of Directors, namely Muhammad Ari Ramadhan as Managing Director, Dani Mohammad Ramdani as Academic Director, Bambang Eko Nugroho as Director of Training & Development, Mohamad Husni as Student Life Director, Ainun Khaerani as Finance Director, and also Chairman of ICM High School Student Council, Tan Nisa Ramadaniya.

The Board of Directors explained that with ICM Madani Curriculum, students' academic and non-academic skills will be honed through various activities such as Student Service, exceptional high school Internship Programs, Community Service, Local Government, and other activities that include activities with national exposure.

Meanwhile, for international exposure, ICM provides other activities such as Student Exchange, Jordan Overseas Program, Student Immersion, and Cambridge Exam as complements to international activities and the Cambridge Curriculum in ICM Madani Curriculum.

"We hope that the activities that ICM has designed with national and international exposure will provide opportunities for children during their Boarding period to explore through various experiences gained from these activities. So, it can be a way to improve children's abilities and potential, which is still accompanied by strong Islamic values. "With the hope that in the future, the child will become a talented individual, with high Islamic leadership abilities as well," explained Dani Mohammad Ramdani, Academic Director.

During ICM leadership coaching and training activity program during MPLS on 27-28 July 2023, ICM will collaborate with the TNI Kodiklat and will be carried out at the TNI Kodiklat Headquarters to further strengthen the spirit of leadership with appropriate Basic Leadership Training methods.

So that students not only get quality academic and Islamic education but also have the opportunity to develop leadership and make positive contributions to society.

The Madani Curriculum at ICM involves collaboration between teachers, school staff, and educational experts to ensure consistency and integration of character and Islamic values with other subjects. ICM continues to evaluate and improve the curriculum to remain relevant to student needs and current developments.

Thus, ICM, as a holistic Boarding School, can provide integral character education for students. Through the Madani Curriculum, ICM is committed to delivering guaranteed education to the Indonesian people in general and the people of South Tangerang in particular.
