The Pelayaran Pembinaan Pembentukan Karakter Maritim (PPKM) 2025 stands as a transformative program designed to strengthen the character, discipline, and maritime spirit of Indonesia’s young generation. Initiated by TNI Angkatan Laut through the National Saka Bahari Leadership, this program supports the national vision to restore Indonesia’s identity as a global maritime nation. Amid challenges of moral decline and weakened national identity, PPKM emerges as an innovative platform that reignites patriotism and reinforces maritime values among youth.
This year, Insan Cendekia Madani proudly sends a contingent of 14 outstanding students to join 500 participants aboard KRI dr. Soeharso-990. The ICM representatives are:
Ghazy Muhammad Rafael, Khiar Akma Alamgir, Andi Muh Haekal, Nuran Qolbi Gazly, Muh. Azka Alfarezi Ismawanto, Sultan Syafiq Revolusi, Muhammad Haikal Rassyid, Quinsyadza Tsabitha Maryanto, Niqy Shageena Putri, Nur Inayah Sudarmin, Maryam Mumtaz, Reinaya Zahiya Khan, Arsy Rezky Hariadi, Alfan Khalif, and Muhammad Nur Faza.
The voyage, held from 18–30 November 2025, covers the route Jakarta – Batam (camp) – Tanjung Uban – Jakarta, offering students a meaningful and immersive maritime experience.
Throughout the program, participants follow a disciplined routine, waking up at 04:30 and resting at 22:00. Their days are filled with activities that build resilience and maritime competence, such as Rubber Boat Exercises, Diving Training, and Water Rescue Training. In addition to these physical and technical sessions, students also deepen their understanding of national heritage through visits to Makam Nong Isa, the Raja Ali Haji Museum, and Invity Studio Batam. The experience is enriched further with historical film screenings about TNI Angkatan Laut, along with cultural performances that foster unity and appreciation for Indonesia’s maritime roots.
One of the most memorable highlights of the program is the campfire night, where participants gather to share reflections, strengthen camaraderie, and celebrate the spirit of togetherness. Under the glow of the flame and the open night sky, students gain a deeper sense of purpose and connection to the maritime values they are learning.
PPKM 2025 is more than a voyage. It is a transformative journey of growth, courage, and national pride, preparing the next generation to stand strong as Indonesia’s future maritime leaders.
